The most massive stars burn through their fuel rapidly, at least by astronomical standards, playing out their evolution over mere millions of years. The vast hydrogen supply in a star is not limitless, however, and eventually all stars will come to an end. White dwarf matter is so dense that a teaspoon of it would weigh as much as a few elephants!
